How AI Translation Works
- You save content — When you save or publish a page, the system detects which fields have changed.
- Lexical JSON is analyzed — The system walks the Lexical JSON structure to extract only the translatable text nodes (headings, paragraphs, list items, etc.), preserving their position paths.
- AI translates — Each text node is translated into the 5 other languages while maintaining formatting, links, and structure.
- Translations are stored — The translated content is saved back into the localized fields for each language version of the page.
Translation happens on save, not in real time as you type. You will see the translations appear in the other locale tabs after saving.
Reviewing Translations
While AI translations are generally accurate, you should review them for domain-specific terminology and nuance:
- Save your content in the primary language.
- Use the language selector at the top of the page editor to switch to another locale.
- Review the translated content. You can edit any field directly.
- Save again when you are satisfied with the translation.
The original language is always the source of truth. If you edit the original content and save again, the AI will re-translate the changed fields. Manual edits to translations will be overwritten for any field that changed in the source. If you need to preserve a manual translation edit, avoid changing that same field in the source language.
Arabic and RTL Content
Arabic content is automatically rendered right-to-left (RTL) on the frontend. You do not need to do anything special when entering Arabic content — the system handles text direction, layout mirroring, and alignment automatically.
When reviewing Arabic translations, the editor will display the text in its natural right-to-left direction. Links, lists, and formatting all work correctly in RTL mode.
